4. Do not apply lubricant, as this is a non-lube product. The interior of the cylinder is lubricated at the factory, 

and lubrication with turbine oil, etc., will not satisfy the product's specifications. 5. Contact SMC if greasing the linear guide. 

If grease is applied to the linear guide, particle generation will increase temporarily. 

However, regular greasing is recommended. 6. Use the cylinder in inert gas environments.
